Josh Brolin has a way with words!
On Saturday, Sept. 28, the actor, 56, posted a poetic tribute to his wife Kathryn Boyd Brolin on Instagram shortly after their eighth wedding anniversary, marking more than ten years together.
Sharing a photo of his wife smiling at the camera on a street at night, Josh wrote in the caption,
“This is the anniversary I'm celebrating. Over a decade with this then fledgling, now veteran from under the circus tent,” referring to Kathryn, 36.
“This Europe on us, the pride to be able to roam and wander and wake up before the sun came up, sober and in heat.,” he continued, speaking of a European trip that appeared to be partially captured in the photo.
“The sweet charity of our stupid reigned — the worse decisions, the better — and fun captured us in its talons.”

The Dune: Part Two star went on to say in his tribute to Kathryn, “This life has always been romantic with you.”

Meanwhile, his wife shared a photo of the pair on their wedding day in celebration of their anniversary in a separate post on Instagram on Thursday, Sept. 26. The couple both posted several days after their official wedding anniversary, which was Sept. 24.
“8 Years... 🪐✨,” Kathryn wrote in the caption as she proceeded to quote the poem Lines for Ponce de Leon by Myron H. Broomell.
“Ageless at forty, as at eighty fade. The virgin kiss and the approaching spade, the lovers of their past in thought behold. Each ravished hope bestowing happy gold — Knowing so well what it was like to live, they still would have what now no death can give,” she wrote.
In the photo she posted, the couple stood with their backs turned to the camera as they gazed over at a hill while standing outdoors in their bride and groom outfits.
