TheTodayshow brewed up a big surprise for viewers this Halloween.
Celebrating the spooky season holiday on Thursday, Oct. 31, the NBC morning show hosts once again dressed in a epic group costume, celebrating their favorite movie characters with a trip back to Blockbuster to rent the must-see '80s, '90s and early '00s movies.
Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb, Craig Melvin,Al Roker, Carson Daly,Sheinelle Jones, Dylan Dreyer, Jenna Bush Hager, Willie Geist, Laura Jarrett and Peter Alexander all participated in the tradition this year, dressing as stars from Austin Powers, Anchorman, Beetlejuice, Beverly Hills Cop, Mrs. Doubtfire and more.
There were surprises along the way, too, like when Luke Wilson reprised his role from Legally Blonde for a sweet tribute alongside Guthrie's Elle Woods.
And Kotb, in her last Today Halloween, told her Today with Hoda and Jenna co-host that she'd "never let go" as Jack and Rose from Titanic.
Last year, the group embraced the theme of The Kelly Clarkson Show's signature -
"Kellyoke" segment by dressing up as some of the most iconic music artists in history including Taylor Swift, Lionel Richie, Pink, Neil Diamond, MC Hammer, Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani and Sonny and Cher.
"We have spent the last 365 days dreaming up our biggest reveal ever," Melvin teased earlier in the show on Thursday.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of Today's Halloween festivities. The highly anticipated event started back in 1994 after the opening of NBC's Studio 1A and the iconic outdoor Plaza, Fresh, fun and fabulous looks have come over the years, with fans eagerly awaiting the reveal of the anchor's secretive costumes.
