Kristin Cavallari and Mark Estes' Age Gap 'Played a Factor' in Their Split, but 'There’s No Drama' (Exclusive Source)

Kristin Cavallari and Mark Estes weren't on the same page before their recent split, a source tells PEOPLE.

“They were just heading in different directions," the insider says of why the couple went their separate ways. "The age difference played a factor but there’s no drama. She has love and respect for him.”

On Sept. 28, another source confirmed to PEOPLE that Cavallari, 37, and Estes, 24,split after seven months after going public with their relationship in February 2024.

Cavallari also confirmed the split during Alex Cooper'sUnwell tour stopin Austin, Texas, telling theCall Her Daddyhost it was "fresh."

The Laguna Beach alum was previously married toJay Cutler, with whom she shares three children. Their kids Camden, Jaxon and Saylor were firstintroduced to Estesahead of the couple's first date in Nashville and grew close to the Montana Boys TikToker.

In July 2024, Cavallari opened up about facing criticism about dating Estes despite their 13-year age difference.

“I understand what it looks like from the outside world of, like, yeah, I’m dating a 24-year-old," she said. "But no one in my life has been like, ‘This is weird.’ Everyone’s like, ‘I get it. It makes sense.’”

The news of their breakup comes less than two months after the pairenjoyed a romantic trip to Greece.

In a set of photos shared to Cavallari'sInstagram, she and Estes wore matching all-white outfits as they took in the scenery.

The Uncommon James founder also uploaded snaps of the two enjoying a few cuddled-up moments like sharing a kiss and hugging in anotherpost.
