Lisa Kudrow and Ray Romano look like the perfect couple — but secrets lurking beneath their picturesque facade are threatening to unravel them.

Kudrow, 61, and Romano, 66, star as longtime couple Lydia and Paul in Netflix's No Good Deed, which premieres Dec. 12, and in the show's first teaser, there's certainly more than meets the eye when it comes to the pair.

In the teaser, various interested buyers wander into the open house for Lydia and Paul's "gorgeous 1920s Spanish-style villa," which is "located in one the most desirable neighborhoods in Los Angeles" — and they're all willing to do whatever it takes to score the deal.

As the motley crew of buyers — which includes Denis Leary, Linda Cardellini, Luke Wilson and more— explore, Lydia and Paul keep an eagle eye on things via a security camera, seemingly keeping themselves hidden for some unknown reason.

The series promises plenty of action, as the teaser shows Lydia spying surreptitiously through a gap in the wall, someone's hand coming dangerously close to a spinning stone cutter, Paul looking out the window of his home skeptically and a gnarly fist fight.

Per the official synopsis, No Good Deed sees Lydia and Paul "decide to move on from their empty nest to forge a new life," so they list their longtime home "and the real estate frenzy begins."

"Multiple families -

all race to buy what they believe to be their dream house, convinced it will fix all of their very different problems. But as Lydia and Paul know all too well, sometimes the home of your dreams can be a true nightmare," the synopsis continues.

"As they struggle to hide the dark and dangerous secrets that linger inside their longtime home, Paul and Lydia begin to realize that the only way they'll escape the past is to finally face it."

Along with Kudrow, Romano, Leary, Cardellini and Liu, O-T Fagbenle, Abbi Jacobson, Poppy Liu and Teyonah Parris also star in the eight-episode series.

Liz Feldman, acclaimed for Dead to Me, created the show, and told Entertainment Weekly that No Good Deed is an exploration of just "how far we're willing to go and the lies we're willing to tell to protect and provide for our families."

She was inspired by her own house-hunting journey after the pandemic. "We saw over 50 houses, and every time we walked into a new house, there was some deep and really intriguing story behind each family. I realized every house has its secrets."
