On Friday, Sept. 27, Zoe, 53, spoke exclusively with PEOPLE while attending the Goldie Hawn Foundation's 20th anniversary celebration of MindUP, Hawn's mental health advocacy charity. The fashion designer and stylist said she is feeling "really good" following her and Berman's announcement earlier this month that they had split after 26 years of marriage.
"I'm doing things that make me feel good — like tonight — and being with my incredible support system of girlfriends and friends, honestly, and just working hard, mom-ing hard and going out and being with people I love who just make me feel really good," she says. "I wake up with my heart full every day so that's all I can ask for, right?"
As for the support she has received from fans online after her split from Berman — with whom she shares two kids, sons Skyler, 13, and Kaius, 10 — Zoe said her "heart is truly overwhelmed with love."
"It really is," Zoe tells PEOPLE. "I feel very grateful, truthfully, and my kids are incredible. So what more — you know? I love my job. I love my kids. I have the greatest friends in the world and the best family in the world."
Speaking about her sons, Zoe says she feels "very blessed" that they are "still incredibly sweet."
"Right now, they still will hug me in public. They'll tell me they love me in public," she shares. "They'll be with me all the time. So I'm just, because I've lived through the adolescence, and I know from my friends and I know from myse -
lf that kids are not that nice at that age. So they're still really sweet."
"I'm holding out," she jokingly adds.
Zoe and Berman announced their divorce in a joint Instagram post on Sept. 9.
"After 33 years together and 26 years married, Rodger and I have come to the mutual decision to end our marriage,” they wrote. “We are incredibly proud of the loving family we have created and our countless memories together.”
“Our number one priority has been and will always be our children. We are committed to co-parent our boys and to continue to work together within the many businesses we share,” they continued.

Elsewhere in her conversation with PEOPLE, Zoe revealed that she wouldn't say no to another docuseries at this point in her career.
"That's been coming at me a lot. It's funny you asked that," she says. "I don't know. I'll tell you what I have learned. Never say never, because everything I've said I would never do — I've done."
"So, I no longer will say that," Zoe adds. "So I'm going to say maybe. I don't know. Who knows? Who knows what life will bring?"
