Donna Kelce is giving the lowdown on her son Travis Kelce’s recent royal meeting at Taylor Swift’s concert!
The 71-year-old shared in a new interview published on Sept. 26 that Travis told her meeting Prince William and his children Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince George, 11, was “one of the coolest things” after they all attended his girlfriend Swift’s Eras show at London’s Wembley Stadium in June.
However, she revealed that the Kansas City Chiefs tight end had a sweetly modest reaction to his encounter with the three royals.
Donna told Extra, “He said that ‘When you meet people like that, you know when the royals come in or Paul McCartney or Hugh Grant … somebody's in the suite, you're just like, who in this picture doesn't fit? Why am I here and why am I even allowed to talk to these individuals? It just doesn't seem right.’ ”
Speaking of how her son has dealt with such crazy encounters, she added, "But I think he's handling it pretty well, he's a pretty friendly guy."
Prince William, 42, and two of his three children attended Swift’s first Eras concert in London on June 21, as Kelce, 34, was also in attendance in support of his girlfriend.
The day after the show, Kelce appeared in a selfie with Swift, 34, and the royal family taken by the singer backstage at the concert, which she posted on Instagram.
“Happy Bday M8! London shows are off to a splendid start ????????????????????,” Swift captioned the snap, tagging the Prince and Princess of Wales, as William also posted a version of the photo on his official Instagram account.
Discussing the royal encounter on his podcast New He -
ights with Jason and Travis Kelce, Travis said, “Dude, he was the coolest motherf—----. He was awesome. They were an absolute delight to meet.”
Travis also shared that he wasn’t sure of the royal protocol when meeting the family. “I wasn't sure if I was supposed to, like, bow to them, curtsy, just be an American idiot and shake their hand," he said.

Meanwhile, in her latest interview, Donna reflected on Travis' crazy past year of meeting the royals, dating Swift — as the pair have been together over a year now after first sparking dating rumors in September 2023 — as well as career highs, after winning the Super Bowl and branching out into acting in Ryan Murphy's new series Grotesquerie.
“He’s on top of the world,” she told Extra.
“Just getting another Super Bowl ring under his belt. It just seems like his life is on a trajectory that just is rising every single day. And every time I turn around I'm seeing him doing something different, whether it's on the golf course or at a concert, or whatever he's just having his best life right now.”
However, Donna teasingly added that Travis has several areas in life he's not yet perfected — though she is seeing some improvements.
“He can’t clean, he can’t cook… he’s getting a little better. I think he’s getting some help," she told Extra.
