Bear Grylls' son Marmaduke is celebrating his 18th birthday — and fans are stunned at how grown-up he is.

On April 6, the British-Irish TV host shared a post to Instagram in celebration of his second-oldest son's birthday.

"18 today!" Grylls, 49, wrote in the caption, alongside photos from Marmaduke's graduation and other school celebrations. "We love you so much Marmaduke… keep shining bright! ❤️."

In the photos, Grylls, his wife Shara Grylls and Marmaduke can be seen standing shoulder-to-shoulder and smiling for the camera, with the 18-year-old towering over them in between.

"What you been feeding him. 😂," one Instagram user commented. "18 and already looks incredibly strong 😂"

"Definitely outgrew that windbreaker I gave him," joked skier JT Holmes.

"You must look up to him a lot," another Instagram user joked.

The You vs. Wild host married Shara in 2000 and they share three sons: Jesse, 21, Marmaduke, and Huckleberry, 15.

Grylls is private about his personal life, but will share updates about his family on social media for major milestones and birthdays. In March, he shared a photo of his oldest son, Jesse, posing with one of his best friends to mark Jesse's 21st birthday.

"Great friends are worth their weight in gold (& camels 🤪)," he joked in the captions, referring to the pair's desert travels together, featured in the photos.

The adventurer also shared a post for Mother's Day back in February, sho -

uting out his wife, mom and the other mothers in his life with a series of photos.

"Some of the great mothers in my family!" he wrote. "Here’s to the courage, love, patience, forgiveness, dedication, and joy that mothers bring to their family’s lives. #mothersday #heroes 💪❤️⚡️ And remember: “If at first you don’t succeed, try doing it the way your mother told you to in the beginning!!”

In May 2023, the dad-of-three also opened up to the Times about his parenting style — specifically, his social media and screen time policy for his kids.

"Social media can be brilliant, it really can," he said at the time. "The brilliant side of it is that it connects us, and you can learn stuff so fast and you can have fun and it’s brilliant entertainment."

"The key, though, is not letting it control you. You control it. So you be in charge," he continued. "...If I'm on it all day, that’s going to erode your heart a bit."

"You'll have to police your own life," Grylls added. "That might be eating healthy, or going to the gym, or if somebody treats you badly in a relationship then having some boundaries and saying: 'No – I’m not going to let you.' You’ve got to police yourself with social media as well."
