Christina Hall may be taking on her most challenging renovation yet — her own parents’ home!

During an interview with Parade, the HGTV star, 40, opened up about her mom and dad being featured on season 5 of Christina on the Coast, which is set to premiere “sometime this year,” she says.

"I'm actually doing my parents' house this season," Hall told the outlet. "That's a good one. And they actually didn't follow my advice, so that was fun."

She reveals that “they’re my toughest client” and they didn’t follow her guidance "when it came to opening up their floor plan a bit." Though she “waited so long to take them on” because she knew their renovation would be a challenge, she adds that it wasn’t “as bad” as she thought it would be.

Earlier in February, the design expert introduced her parents to her Instagram followers and shared an important update she’s making to their kitchen.

“Meet my parents. Who I am FINALLY replacing their 1970s kitchen cabinets..” she wrote alongside a photo of herself posing with her mom and dad. “I know I know, how have they not asked for me to redo their kitchen before?! Well… the 1970s cabinets held up well and as my dad says ‘your generation is so wasteful’ 🤣 touché.. and they like to spend their time & money on travel as opposed to their daughter who loves to constantly renovate 🤪 -

Hall added, “Ps I know my parents would be bothered if I didn’t say their home looks like a war zone because we are currently in the demo / mid reno stage and everything is piled in the dining room. 🤭”

The Flip or Flop alum also teased the “amazing episodes in store” for the upcoming season of Christina on the Coast. A second season of her spin-off series, Christina in the Country, is also set to premiere in 2024.

Both shows follow Hall as she runs her design business in California and Tennessee alongside her husband Josh and enjoys family life with her three kids. Christina is mom to son Hudson, 4, with ex Ant Anstead, and shares son Brayden, 8, and daughter Taylor, 13, with ex Tarek El Moussa.

Some of her kids might even have a knack for house flipping after watching their mom renovate so many homes over the years. In August, Christina shared a photo of her son Brayden to her Instagram Story and revealed that it’s possible he might follow in his parents’ footsteps when it comes to home design.

"My sweet little helper,” she wrote over the photo. “He's seen hundreds of houses and has some amazing ideas when it comes to Renovations. Maybe he will be a builder or architect 🖤."
