Looks like nothing has changed when it comes the loving dynamic between Big Bang Theory's Sheldon and Amy!

In PEOPLE's exclusive sneak peek of the highly anticipated series finale of Young Sheldon, the pair reprise their Big Bang Theory roles as Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons) and Amy Farrah Fowler (Mayim Bialik) respectively and bicker like the old married couple fans have always imagined them to be.

While writing his memoir, Sheldon claims that he was "always doing things to make other people happy." Amy abruptly interrupts his chain of thought and confronts him about putting others first.

"You've got to be kidding," she sighs before Sheldon tells her to stop reading over his shoulder. "Are you writing your memoir or a fantasy novel?"

"For your information, the word 'memoir' comes from memory and these memories are mine," he quips back as Amy asks when he's ever gone "out of your way to make other people happy."

After Sheldon reminds her that he performs his dutiful responsibilities as a husband "once a year" on her birthday, Amy asks him to cite another example.

"Sheldon, while I was giving birth you zoomed into a seminar," she huffs, to which he replies, "You were taking forever to dilate! And I'd already made my contribution to the project, which need I remind you was on your birthday."

In another exclusive behind-the-scenes video shared with PEOPLE, both Parsons, 51, and Armitage, 16, reflected back to the first time they met.

"It's pretty crazy to wat -

ch old episodes of my voice sound so high and I'm so little," Armitage gushes in a side-by-side interview with Parsons.

Parsons then adds, "He was so arrestingly charming —immediately you just couldn't take your eyes off."

Parsons goes on to share how Armitage made Sheldon "his own thing" while series creator Chuck Lorre recalls how "blessed we were to find somebody like Iain. If you can't cast that part, you just don't do the show."

As the cast films its series' finale, Perry (Mary Cooper) reflects on her 7 season tenure on the series. After calling the experience with her costars, "rare" and "wonderful," Armitage opens up about what it's been like to grow up alongside the cast.

"It feels like it's been so long and also so short," he says. "It's kind of flown by, but it has been half my life. Montana Jordan feels like the best older brother in the world. Reagan Revford really feels like a real sister to me."

"It's literally felt like a second home. I'm an only child so being able to grow up having an older brother and a twin. It's been special," Revford says, returning Armitage's sentiments.

In another joint interview with Bialik, Parsons shares how impactful it's been for the two to reprise their roles.

"This is the most beautiful coda to getting to come back and see each other again, like a grace note to the whole experience," he sighs. "It's very meaningful."
