King Charles and Queen Camilla sent their “heartfelt thoughts” to Lady Gabriella, 42, following the news of her husband’s death.

A Buckingham Palace spokesperson said, "The King and The Queen have been informed of Thomas’s death and join Prince and Princess Michael of Kent and all those who knew him in grieving a much-loved member of the family. In particular, Their Majesties send their most heartfelt thoughts and prayers to Gabriella and to all the Kingston family.”

Lady Gabriella is the only daughter of Prince Michael of Kent, who is first cousins with Queen Elizabeth.

She married Kingston, who was a director at Devonport Capital and former hostage negotiator in Iraq, in May 2019 at St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle, just a year after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle also tied the knot there. Harry was a guest at the nuptials, making a surprise appearance just weeks after his son Archie was born, along with Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip.

Hours before news of Kingston's death was made public, Queen Camilla, 76, joined Lady Gabriella's parents, Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, and other members of the royal family at the service of Thanksgiving at St. George's Chapel to honor King Constantine of Greece, who died last year.

The late King of Greece was a godfather to Lady Gabriella, and she attended his funeral last year on behalf of Prince William, who was also one of Constantine's godchildren.
