Zane Lowe and Apple Music have named South African pop star Tyla, British rock band the Last Dinner Party and música Mexicana hitmaker Xavi as artists to watch in 2024.

Lowe’s “24 for ’24” — a roster curated by Lowe and his music programmer Jeremy Degan to spotlight rising acts for the new year — also names viral rap star Karrahboo, R&B singer Maeta, the hip-hop duo Flyana Boss and New York-based producer and rapper Cash Cobain, among others. See the complete list below.

“This year’s 24 for 2024 list is a brilliant example of how exciting and innovative music always is,” said Lowe,Apple Music’s global creative director, in an official statement. “I’m thrilled about music this year and in particular the role that new artists are playing and helping to redefine and push things forward.”

Tyla’s star power was only beginning to bubble by the latter half of 2023 when her sultry amapiano hit, “Water,” flooded TikTok. In the next few weeks, the Johannesburg native will be headed to the Grammys for her first-ever nomination in the newly-added -

Best African Music Performance category for “Water,” and is also gearing up to share her first, self-titled full-length album in March.

The Last Dinner Party, like Tyla, is expected to make its Coachella debut later this April. Formed in London in 2021, the Last Dinner Party consists of Abigail Morris, Lizzie Mayland, Emily Roberts, Georgia Davies, and Aurora Nishevci. The rock band won BBC’s Sound of 2024 earlier this year, and they just recently announced a North American tour.

Nineteen-year-old Xavi climbed his way up the Billboard charts with “La Víctima,” his breakthrough single, and a pair of collaborative singles —”Poco a Poco” with Los Dareyes de la Sierra and “Modo DND” with Tony Aguirre. His song “La Diabla” also peaked at No. 22 on the Billboard Hot 100.
