'I’m Crying Writing This': Jessica Alba Posts Emotional Tribute to Daughter Honor on Her 16th Birthday

Jessica Alba is celebrating her eldest child’s milestone birthday!

On Friday, June 7, theFantastic Four actress, 43, posted an emotional tribute to her 16-year-old daughter Honor, whom she shares with her husband Cash Warren.

“My sweet 16 year old Honor ❤️????,” the proud mom began in the Instagram caption, which included a montage of photos and videos of her daughter throughout the past 16 years.

“I’m crying writing this -it’s the most tender feeling in the world being your mom. Your sweet but wise disposition from day one -only allowing those who you trust closest to you- is inspiring,” wrote the Honest Company founder.

She continued by calling out her daughter’s “beautiful quiet, healing energy that elevates their family,” her authenticity, consideration, kindness, and “incredible ability to help others without getting sucked into drama," adding that Honor is "the shoulder that so many count on.” 

“I’m so so proud of you for choosing what feels right vs what’s cool -for consistently choosing your mental wellness above all else and for unapologetically pursuing your dreams,” she added. 

“You are a powerhouse of a human and you are only 16! We are all so blessed my baby and I feel tremendously grateful for our relationship -for our bond. You chose me to be your mama baby girl -it has been the greatest gift my angel.” 

Alba concluded the sweet message, “I love you more than words could ever express. You are growing up way too fast for me 🥺, but I couldn’t be more proud.”

Warren, 45, also celebrated his daughter’s birthday with a -

heartwarming Instagram post. His carousel of photos included a selfie between the father and daughter and two more individual images of the teenager.

“Honor, you’ve spent the last 5,840 days getting ready for this moment. You’ve put in 140,160 hours of practice. You’re beyond prepared for 16. You’re going to eat this year up! Leave no crumbs,” he began.

“Your foundation is built on empathy…which means it’s secure and capable of shouldering whatever you build on top. Keep pushing yourself beyond your comfort zone. You can handle it.” He continued to share that when he thinks of his daughter, he “fills up with the chin up chest out kind of pride.”

Like Alba, he celebrated their daughter’s “rare ability to be both emotionally vulnerable and extremely pragmatic,” adding, “Your beauty doesn’t run skin deep. It radiates from your soul.”

The movie producer then joked about his daughter’s newfound driving privileges. He revealed that although he's "cherished" driving his daughter to school, he's excited to no longer "being the only Uber driver of their house."

“I love you so much my baby girl! Happy birthday!! Love, me,” he concluded.

In addition to Honor, the couple has two more children: son Hayes, 6, and daughter Haven, 12.
